Birthday Fishing Trip

Snow is starting to fly so have to stay lower this weekend, was still supposed to get a few inches here at 5000’ but the rain never turned. Great trip with good fishing and a lot of wildlife moving around on the overcast days.

A little frozen rain can’t stop the pirates

Don’t really expect to see this around this time of year, but the bull moose didn’t seem to have any problem hanging out together.

There was clearly one bigger bull, in the background on both photos, seen this morning hanging with a different friend than the day before.

The big guy did get out on his own.

A lot of deer in the area also, but mostly doe with yearling. Only saw one buck on the first day.

Sun rising on a clear morning.

In the trees in the preserve too.

And blocked the boardwalk corner on my last evening of fishing.

Check out the coloring on this little one, should be pretty easy to spot over the next few years if it sticks around the creek.

Fall colors in the willows.

Snow didn’t end up too high above us, but it didn’t last anywhere but the high mountains.

Red is getting pretty good about just watching the wildlife quietly during the day, but still barks and growls at everything he thinks he hears in the night…
