National Freedom to fish day at Silver Creek

Taking Juneteenth to head over to the creek now that the out of state crowds are cleared out. Still some drakes around, and a lot of caddis, but fishing was pretty slow after the 1st day as the wind picked up and the temp dropped.

Rawhides at our favorite site.

Heron are surprisingly well camouflaged, not sure how long he stood on the fence watching me fish before I noticed. Can you even see him now?

Wheat is getting high.

Some don’t last long though, saw these coming back from fishing in the morning and the petals were already falling by the afternoon walk.

A lot of wildflowers still blooming.

Red managed to flush two pheasant on one afternoon walk.
