9/19 - 6/27 Baker Creek, working on the edge of the meadow

Setup on the meadow in Baker Creek canyon to celebrate Juneteenth and spend a week working remotely with a better view. Some storms came though, and several hot and windy days, but always relaxing. And the deer and antelope elk were at play all week long…

Wildflowers are in full bloom! and the view from camp (flag in the background) was great! Side branches of the creek are still running strong, and the creek itself is running high. Red loved running in them to cool off, although he was generally pretty wet due to the high grass in the meadow anyway.

Deer came through the meadow almost every day, some like this one came right through camp. It was really interested in Red, kept trying to get closer to him to get a better look at this little growling thing…

Red was on a prairie dog hunt in every walk around the meadow.

Got in some fishing at the high lakes on the weekend. Took this on a break coming down from Norton lakes.

And protecting his rawhide from them, and the fox, around camp while I was working.

Storms can be annoying, but make for nice skies as they clear.

Most of the deer in the meadow were doe, only saw one buck walk through in the evening, but game camera caught several bucks in the brush at the edge. One of the smaller ones here.

Little slower to clear around the higher peaks.

Larger buck jumped right by the camera, too bad light was too low to get the motion shot. This guy’s already forked and looks like another fork growing, all of the bucks are still in velvet.

And a full day of rain creates some interesting fog after the sun sets.

Fox? coyote? wolf? Guess it could be lion with tail hidden behind the bush?

Whatever the blur is, it circled the camera twice at the same distance and seems to be looking toward it in every shot…
